Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Institutions
Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA)
IRCICA is an international institution active in the fields of research, publishing, documentation and information. Its mandate covers multifarious themes in the fields of the history of Muslim nations, history of arts and sciences in Islam, and other subject areas in Islamic culture and civilisation. By means of these activities, IRCICA aims at studying and better introducing the Islamic culture and civilisation throughout the world and acting as a catalyst for research and cooperation in these areas to promote mutual understanding between Muslims and with other nations and cultures of the world.
Islamic University of Technology (IUT)
The University was established as a subsidiary organ of the OIC in implementation of the resolution No.5/9-E of the Ninth Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers, held in Dakar, Republic of Senegal, in April 1978, initially named as ICTVTR, and later Islamic Institute of Technology. The name was changed to the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) according to the resolution 48/28 adopted by the 28th ICFM held in Mali on 25-27 June 2001.
Islamic Centre for the Development of Trade (ICDT)
The Third Islamic Summit Conference held in Makkah Al-Mukarramah in January 1981 approved the Statute of the Center. It is a Subsidiary Organ of the OIC to promote trade exchange among the OIC Member States...
International Islamic Fiqh (Jurisprudence) Academy
The Islamic Fiqh Academy (IFA) is a subsidiary organ of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), created by the Third Islamic Summit Conference held in Makkah al-Mukarramah (Saudi Arabia) in Rabiul Awwal 1401 H (January 1981). It is based in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). Its members and experts are selected from among the best scholars and thinkers available in the Islamic world and Muslim minorities in non Muslim countries, in every field of knowledge (Islamic Fiqh, science, medicine, economy and culture, etc.).
Islamic University in Niger
It was created in accordance with a resolution adopted by the Second Islamic Summit Conference of the Kings, and Heads of States and Governments held in Lahore, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in February 1974.
