The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques thanks the IDB, expresses support to the Socio-economic Development in the Member Countries.

King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has expressed thanks to the IDB upon receiving a copy of 32nd IDB Annual Report-1427H. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expressed his appreciation of the content of the Report and keen support to the socio-economic development and social progress for the OIC member countries and Muslim communities in the non-member countries. A cable to this effect was received by the President, IDB, from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques following the latter’s receipt of a copy of the recent IDB Annual Report. The President, IDB expressed, in his letter to the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, which was attached with a copy of the Report, the IDB’s appreciation for the continuous support and kind care it receives from the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques. H.E. Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali indicated in his letter that the IDB Group has approved last year (1427) US$5168 million (SR19.4 billion) for covering 361 operations in the member countries and Muslim communities in non-member countries. The accumulated amount approved by the Group by the end of 1427H is US$53 billion (SR198.8 billion) in favour of 56 member countries, and 72 Muslim communities in non-member countries.
