Establishment of International Centre for Natural Product Research (ICNPR)

Brief Summary
The project will contribute towards the Bangladesh's Health, Population and Nutrition Sector Development Program (HPNSDP - 2017-2021) goal of expanding access to quality and equitable health care. Specifically, the project aims at (i) establishing an internationally accredited Center for Natural Products Research (ICNPR) that would advance Research and Development (R&D) on natural products (ii) enhancing the safety, efficacy and quality of NPBM as well as its rational use and practice. The key expected results include (i) Internationally accredited CNPR established (ii) Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Good Clinical Practice (GCP) & relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) have been adopted and implemented (iii) Analytical and Quality Assurance (QA) services provided to at least 250 NPBM manufacturers (iv) Best practices and research on NPBM has been documented and disseminated both at national and international level.
