Under Royal Patronage, Prince of Riyadh Graces IsDB’s 50th Anniversary

Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 29 April 2024 - Amidst the gracious patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Riyadh Region, graced the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).

This prestigious event took place  in the vibrant  capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, coinciding with the Annual Meetings of the IsDB Group for the year 2024.

Also, joining the auspicious gathering was His Excellency Mohammed bin Abdullah Aljadaan, the Saudi Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Islamic Development Bank Group, Governors, heads of institutions as well as several high profile-figures including:

-   H.E. Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Cooperation,

-   His Excellency Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Honorable Prime Minister of Malaysia,

-   Dr. Christopher Elias, President of Global Development at the Bill & Malinda Gates Foundation

IsDB President and Group Chairman, H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, expressed profound gratitude to The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for  hosting   the Annual Meetings, coinciding with the Bank's momentous Golden Jubilee. Reflecting on the Bank's illustrious journey, Dr. Al Jasser underscored its pivotal role in global development, with over US$182 billion invested in more than 12,000 projects benefiting millions across member countries and Muslim communities worldwide.

The commemoration of the Bank's Golden Jubilee serves as a poignant reminder of its enduring commitment to socioeconomic advancement, shaping a future of prosperity and progress for generations to come.
