GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE Tashkent Sewerage Project, Uzbekistan The Municipality (Hokimiyat) of Tashkent City has received an Istisna’a financing in the amount of US$ 35.37 million equivalent from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of the Tashkent Sewerage Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works and related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. The project will include the following components: a) Supply and installation of equipment of wastewater treatment facilities, including electrical components of three wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), which is to be procured under ICB; b) Construction of pressure-gravity relief collector line 6.5 km long with pumping station which is to be procured under ICB; c) Provision of a set of laboratory equipment for three WWTPs which is to be procured under ICB; d) Provision of special vehicles and equipment to improve operations and maintenance of the wastewater collection system which is to be procured through ICB; e) Provision of Consultancy Services: equipment identification of wastewater treatment facilities, detailed engineering design of collector systems, complete tender documentation as well as site supervision of works. The consultancy firm was selected among a shortlist of firms from IDB member-countries. Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the Islamic Development Bank’s international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and will be announced, as they become available. Prequalification of suppliers and contractors will be required for the following contracts: • Supply and installation of equipment of wastewater treatment facilities; • Construction of pressure-gravity relief collector line.
