GENERAL PROCURMENT NOTICE (GPN) Islamic Republic of Iran Western Tehran Sanitation Project Istisna’a IRN 00102 The Islamic Republic of Iran has received 173.53 million Euros under Istisna’a financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) to finance the Western Tehran Sanitation Project, and intends to use part of the proceeds of this Istisna’a financing (68.34 million Euro) for payment of Civil Works Contracts for the construction of a transmission main feeding into a new Wastewater Treatment Plant of 17.22 m3/s at the design horizon of 2031.The main objective of the project is to provide sanitation services for about 1,050,000 people in western part of Tehran and about 93.13 million m3 of sewage will be treated in the target year. Civil Works Contract Package: The project includes the following component: transmission main: 12km of length and 3000mm of diameter.- Procurement of Goods and Works will be in accordance with the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under the Islamic Development Bank Financing (May 2009). Procurement of Works: The transmission main will be procured through International Competitive Bidding limited to IDB member countries (ICB/MC) after prequalification. Tehran Sewerage Company, the Executing Agency, now invites eligible contractors from IDB member countries to indicate their interest in this civil works contract. A contractor from the IDB member countries will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under the Islamic Development Bank Financing (May 2009).
