General Procurement Notice For Conversion of Sylhet 150 MW Gas Turbine Power Plant to 225 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project (Sylhet Power Efficiency Enhancement Project) (BD-0169) The Asian Development Bank (ADB), European Investment Bank (EIB) and Islamic Development Bank (IDB) have approved financing to the Government of Bangladesh towards the cost of the Power System Expansion and Efficiency Improvement Program. This program includes conversion of three operational open-cycle into combined-cycle power plant projects for Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), one of which is the conversion of Sylhet 150 MW Gas Turbine Power Plant to 225 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP). Bangladesh Power Development Board intends to procure the above mentioned IDB financed Sylhet project on a turnkey basis through an EPC Contractor to be responsible for designing, supplying, delivering, erecting, testing & commissioning of the proposed conversion of the existing Gas Turbine plant. The procurement of the project will be through international competitive bidding (ICB) in accordance with IDB's procurement guidelines along with pre-qualification.
