The Government of the Republic of Maldives has received financing in the amount of US$ 10.3 Million equivalent from the Islamic Development Bank towards the development of sustainable local development in the atolls by diversifying the economy and providing market access and finance for microenterprises. This project will cover all the 7 provinces of Maldives covering larger populated islands which are being developed as satellite centers of growth outside Male’. 2. The project will include the following components: (i) Access to Finance through: (a)Line of Finance Facility (LOF); and (b)Capacity Development & Management Information System for Islamic Micro-finance (ii) Incubation Program through: (a) Marketing & Distribution Incubator and (b) Cost-Sharing Facility (CSF) 3. Procurement of contracts financed by the Islamic Development Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works Under Islamic Development Bank Financing (current edition ), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines, Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for the Use of Consultants Under Islamic Development Bank Financing (current edition). 4.
