Procurement of Laboratory Equipment

The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has applied for financing from the Islamic Development Bank (the “IDB”) toward the cost of “Support to Equipping State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision Centers with Laboratory Equipment Project in the Republic of Uzbekistan”, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract for Procurement of Laboratory Equipment, ICB No: UZB-0073/ICB/02.

Bidder may bid for any lot or all lots. Each lot must be priced separately. Bid for a particular lot must contain all item of the lot. Given the item is complex equipment, the bid should include all demanded components of the particular item. Bids will be evaluated and contracts will be awarded for every lot separately.
Qualifications requirements include: (a) financial conditions, (b) experience and technical capacity, (c) compliance of supplied goods with applicable international standards. Bids that do not contain such information may be rejected. A margin of domestic preference shall not apply. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (the “ICB”) procedures specified in the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under IDB Financing, may 2009 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all bidders from eligible countries as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.7 and 1.8 formulating the Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

An electronic complete set of the Bidding Documents in English will be sent to interested bidders by email idb.ses@gmail.com upon a written request. The request shall include the project name, ICB No: UZB-0073/ICB/02, full name, country of origin, and address of the interested Bidder.

Bids must be delivered to the address of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan below, not later than 15.00 (Tashkent time) on January 15, 2019. Late bids will be rejected. Electronic bidding is not allowed. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend the bid opening session at 15.10 (Tashkent time) on January 15, 2019, at the following address:
