UZBEKISTAN ADVANCED ELECTRICITY METERING PROJECT ENERGY GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE Mode of Financing: Installment Sale Project ID No. UZB-0072 The SJSC “Uzbekenergo” has applied for financing in the amount of US$ 130 million equivalent from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of the “ADVANCED ELECTRICITY METERING PROJECT IN KARAKALPAK REPUBLIC AND NAVOI, KHOREZM REGIONS OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN” and it intends to use part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. This project will be jointly financed by SJSC "UZBEKENERGO". The project will include the following components: - Consulting Services - Procurement of advanced electricity meters and associated communication systems, and meter data management and billing systems for three regional distribution companies of SJSC UZBEKENERGO in the Karakalpakstan Republic and in the Navoi and Khorezm Regions . Procurement of contracts financed by the Islamic Development Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works Under Islamic Development Bank Financing (May 2009), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for the Use of Consultants Under Islamic Development Bank Financing (May 2009). Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the Islamic Development Bank’s international competitive bidding (ICB) and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in IsDB Website, Uzbekenergo’s Website, local and international newspapers. Prequalification of suppliers and contractors will be required for the Procurement of advanced electricity meters and associated communication systems.
