SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE The Gambia Building Resilience to Recurring Food Insecurity in The Gambia Ministry of Agriculture Procurement for the Development of 591.5Ha Lowlands Mode of Financing: Jeddah Declaration Istisna’s Financing No. GM0085-GM0086-GM0087 Contract/Bid No. MOA-IsDB/ICB/0003/2019 9th December 2019 The Government of The Gambia has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) toward the cost of the Building Resilience to Recurring Food Insecurity in the Gambia Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the development of 591.5Ha Lowlands. The Ministry of Agriculture now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for The Development of 591.5Ha Lowlands (Lots 1, 2 & 3). The construction period is 13 Calendar months. The Lots are divided as follows: Lot 1 a) Pirang 50 Ha b) Sutusingang 7 Ha c) Bondali Tenda 33 Ha Lot 2 d) Kaiaf 34 Ha e) Jenoi 365 Ha Lot 3 f) Mali Kunda 48 Ha g) Sambay Belt 54.5 Ha Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures as specified in the IsDB’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under Islamic Development Bank Financing (April 2019), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents from the Building Resilience to Recurring Food Insecurity in the Gambia Project Office at the DLS Complex, Brikama Highway Abuko. During office hours [08:00 to 16:00 hours, Monday to Thursday. A complete set of bidding documents in English can be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the Project Director, Building Resilience to Recurring Food Insecurity in The Gambia Project, DLS Complex, Birkama Highway, Abuko, (Tel: +2209960072, +2203329902) and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of GMD6,000.00 or USD120.00 The method of payment will be Cash. The document will be sent by email. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of USD45,000.00 (Forty five thousand United states Dollars) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency (For each Lot) and be delivered to the address below by 12.00pm on 22nd January 2020. They will be opened immediately thereafter, in the presence of bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend, at the address below. Late bids will be rejected and returned unopened.
