Procurement of survey equipments
The Government of the Peoples' Republic of Bangladesh has received a credit and grant from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) in the amount of US$ 9.570 million equivalent towards the cost of the proposed Bangladesh Marine Fisheries Capacity Building Project (BMFCBP) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, equipments, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. Procurement of contracts financed by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) will be conducted through the procedures as specified in: (i) the Islamic Development Bank's GUIDELINES FOR PROCUREMENT UNDER ISLAMIC DEVI'LOPMENT BANK FINANCING for contracts under National (local) Competitive Bidding (NCB); International Competitive Bidding (ICB) and (ii) the Public Procurement Regulations, 2008 of the Government of Bangladesh (www.cptu.gov.bd) for contracts under National /International Open Tendering Methods, and open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines and regulations.. Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the Islamic Development Bank's national competitive bidding (NCB) and International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures for contracts for office equipments, survey equipments and survey (research) vessel will be announced, as they become available, in widely circulated national daily newspapers of Bangladesh. Subject and scope of the survey (research) vessel and survey equipments: Survey (research) vessel and survey equipments would be used to survey operation in the coastal and deep sea area to assess the standing stock and Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY) and to develop an integrated database (MCS) and VTMS.
