SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE Invitation for Pre-qualification Republic of Uzbekistan Support to Development of Oncology Services Project in the Republic of Uzbekistan Procurement of radiological equipment for oncology centers of the Republic of Uzbekistan (UZB-063/ICB/02) This invitation for prequalification follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared on the website of Islamic Development Bank on 29.09.2014, Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan on 23.10.2014, and in the newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat on 11.12.2014, issue 13162. The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has applied for a financing from the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) toward the cost of the “Support to Development of Oncology Services Project in the Republic of Uzbekistan”, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract for supply of the following radiological equipment for oncology centers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan intends to prequalify suppliers and/or firms for supply of radiology equipment for oncology centers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Qualification requirements include: financial capacity and similar experience. Additional details are provided in the Pre-qualification Document. It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in April 2015. Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works, May 2009 and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries, as defined in the guidelines. Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification document at the Project Management Unit (address below) from 14.00 to 17.00 hours (Tashkent time). A complete set of the prequalification document in English may be purchased by interested Applicants (a) on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 50 USD or the equivalent in Uzbek soums at the exchange rate fixed by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the day of payment.
