GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE Islamic Republic of Iran Azarbaijan Power Transmission Project Power Sector Project ID No: IRN-0105 Azarbaijan Regional Electric Company (AREC), that is a public company and in possession of the government of Islamic Republic of Iran and functions under supervision of Tavanir and Ministry of Energy, has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of “Azarbaijan Power Transmission Project”, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for the substations and transmission lines equipment to be procured under this project. The project will include the following components to be procured under ICB-Open procedures: - Six 230 kV substations [Turnkey EPC contracts] - 160 km long 400 kV Overhead Transmission line [Equipment only] - 66Km long Underground 230 kV Single Phase XLPE Cable [Equipment only] Additionally, The Financial Audit Services will be procured from a short list of reputed local firms in conformity with IDB procedures. Procurement of contracts financed by the Islamic Development Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works Under Islamic Development Bank Financing (May 2009), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the Islamic Development Bank’s procurement procedures will be announced, as they become available.
