ICB No.: REAP/Al-Hodeidah – 3 1- This invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for the Project that was published in the dgMarket on July 1, 2009 and in the United Nations Development Business (UNDB) on July 2, 2009. 2- The Republic of Yemen has received a loan from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) toward the cost of the project, and intends to apply part of the IsDB proceeds towards the cost of the contract for the Design, manufacture, works testing, delivery to site, erection, site testing, setting to work and remedying of defects of the plant and materials specified in the tender documents. 3- The Ministry of Electricity and Energy, General Authority for Rural Electricity (GARE), Rural Energy Access Project (REAP) invites the eligible and qualified bidders from IDB Member Countries for the supply and installation of the following bid:- Al-Hodeidah – 3 • Lot 1: Supply and Installation of 33kV overhead lines and 33/11.55kV, 5MVA outdoor substations. • Lot 2 (Al-Madan): Supply and Installation of 11kV overhead lines, Distribution Transformers11/0.4kV, low voltage and services connection equipments. • Lot 3 (Al-Husseniah): Supply and Installation of 11kV overhead lines, Distribution Transformers11/0.4kV, low voltage and services connection equipments. • Lot 4 (Al-Zahr) [Optional]: Supply and Installation of 33kV overhead lines, 33/11.55kV, 5MVA outdoor substation, 11kV overhead lines Distribution Transformers11/0.4kV, low voltage and services connection equipments. 4- Bidding will be conducted according to the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines. 5- Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and document at the address mentioned below during official working hours (8:00A.M – 3:00P.M) Saturday to Wednesday. 6- Bidding documents to be prepared in English language. 7- Bidder can bid for one lot or more. 8- Bidding document may be purchased by interested bidders by submission a written application to the project address mentioned below and upon a payment of (200USD) non-refundable.
