First Announcement - International Notice for Expression of Interest in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) Services of Khomrood Coal Mine (KCM) Project Beneficiary - Iran Minerals Production and Supply Company (IMPASCO) Country: Islamic Republic of Iran. The Government of Islamic Republic of Iran has received a Loan from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), and through the Iran Minerals Production and Supply Company (IMPASCO) it intends to apply part of the proceeds to finance procurement of Project Management Consultancy (PMC) Services for the Khomrood Coal Mine Project (KCM). The primary objective of the KCM Project is to construct, develop and operate two underground mining complexes capable of producing, at full output, a total of 0.75 million tonnes (mt) of run-of-mine coal annually to increase country’s coking coal production capacity to 3.00 mt annually to meet the growing demand steel industry. The proposed project site is situated in Kerman province of Iran, 120 km north-west of Kerman city and 40 km from Zarand town. The PMC services will include preparation of tender documents, inviting and reviewing of bids for the selection of EPC Contractor, and supervise EPC Contractor which will also include the design review. The selection of the PMC firm will be through an International short-listing of qualified IDB Member Country consultancy firms.
