SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE Republic of Uzbekistan “The Efficient Outdoor Lighting for Tashkent City Project” Energy Sector Procurement of Electrical lighting equipment for lighting the streets of Tashkent. Mode of Financing: Installment Sale Financing No. UZB-0068 Contract/Bid No. UZB-0068/ICB-01 The State Unitary Enterprise “TOSHSHAHARNUR” has received financing in the amount of 36 million USD from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) toward the cost of “The Efficient Outdoor Lighting for Tashkent City Project”, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Procurement of Electrical Lighting Equipment. The State Unitary Enterprise “TOShShAHARNUR” now invites eligible applicants to prequalification process for the subject project: ICB No.: UZB-0068/ICB-01 “The Efficient Outdoor Lighting for Tashkent City Project”. The project is aimed at raising efficiency of outdoor lighting network in Tashkent city. There are currently 116 083 (One Hundred Sixteen Thousand Eighty Three) luminaries being operated. These luminaries have been installed in different periods of time. There are more than 100 (Hundred) types of luminaries and 4 (Four) types of control cabinets used in Tashkent city outdoor lighting system. Tashkent is the capital of Republic of Uzbekistan. It consists of 11 (Eleven) administrative districts. Each district has its own main roads, streets, residential areas which are lightened up by luminaries during evening and night time. Estimated quantities of major components for procurement are as follows: Lighting fixtures (including lamp and electronic ballast) – 116 083 (One Hundred Sixteen Thousand Eighty Three) pcs. Power supply points (including a control units and controllers) – 1546 (One Thousand Five Hundred Forty Six) pcs. The delivery period is 2015 – 2016 years. More detailed information on the requirements is provided in the Prequalification documents. Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works, May 2009 and is open to all bidders as per the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedure of the Bank defined in the guidelines.
