INVITATION FOR BIDS Niassa Rural Electrification Project, Moçambique: Component A – Substation Works The Government of Moçambique has received loans from OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID), toward the cost of the Niassa Rural Electrification Project, and it intends to utilize these funds for the following supply, construct and commissioning of contracts: Component A – Substation Works Contract No: ENC 2015/54 The Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM), as the Implementing Agency, in this International Competitive Tender (ICT) process, is thus inviting sealed Tenders from eligible Tenderers for the project management, design and engineering, procurement, manufacturing, factory testing, supply, delivery, installation, training, factory acceptance testing, and site acceptance testing and commissioning supply and installation of equipment and services of the following works: Component A – Substation Works Construction of Marrupa Substation and Extensions at Cuamba Substation o Construction of Marrupa 110/33 kV Substation • Air-insulated 110 kV switchgear: 1 main busbar with transfer busbar, 1 bus coupler bay, 1 overhead line bay, 1 transformer bay and the provision for a future transformer and overhead line bay; • 110/33kV, 16 MVA transformer; • Indoor metalclad GIS 33 kV switchgear: single busbar, 1 transformer bay, 1 aux. transformer bay, 4 overhead line bays and a switched shunt capacitor bay; • Substation control system, auxiliary power system, metering and telecommunications facilities • Standby generator plant • Control building and 2 staff houses o Extensions of 110 kV Switchyard at Cuamba 110/33 kV Substation • Addition of 1 outgoing 110 kV line bay (air-insulated switchgear) • Extension of the existing 33kV metal clad switchboard to include an additional overhead line bay and a STATCOM bay • Provision of ±4MVAr STATACOM • Metering and telecommunication facilities Tendering is open to firms and joint ventures from eligible source countries, as defined in the Tender Documents. A complete set of Tender Documents in English may be purchased by eligible tenderers on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 4 000 MZM or in USD 100,00 for each Component.
