The Government of Republic of Lebanon has received financing in the amount USD 26.84 Million equivalent from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of the West Bekaa Wastewater Phase-II Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. This project will be jointly financed by the Government of Republic of Lebanon. The project will include the following components: A. Component of Civil Works: • 83 km of main sewer networks • 6.5 km of pressure sewer lines • 31 km of tertiary sewer lines • Construction and equipment of 11 lift stations B. Component of Services: • Supervision of all construction works and maintenance of the works during the liability period. • Financial Audit Procurement of contracts financed by the Islamic Development Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under Islamic Development Bank Financing (current edition), using of International Competitive Bidding and is open to all eligible bidders from all IDB Member Country firms as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing (current edition) among short list of qualified local firms. Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the Islamic Development Bank’s international competitive bidding (ICB) or international competitive bidding – member countries (ICB/MC) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in IsDB Website , Local and International widely circulated newspaper/media.
