GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE UZBEKISTAN SUPPORT TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF ONCOLOGY SERVICES PROJECT IN THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN Public Healthcare Sector GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE Mode of Financing: Installment Sale Financing No. UZB-063 The Government of Uzbekistan has applied for financing in the amount of US$ 37.04 million equivalent from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of the “Support to Development of Oncology Services Project in the Republic of Uzbekistan”, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. The project will include the following components: (i) provision of diagnostic and radiology equipment, spare parts and related training; (ii) consultancy services for procurement; (iii) specialized training for medical doctors and health personnel; (iv) Project Management Unit (PMU); (v) project start-up workshop and familiarization visit; (vi) financial auditing. Procurement of contracts financed by the Islamic Development Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under Islamic Development Bank Financing (current edition), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing (current edition). Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the Islamic Development Bank’s international competitive bidding (ICB) procedure will be announced, as they become available, in the websites of IsDB Website (www.isdb.org) and Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan (www.minzdrav.uz). Prequalification of suppliers will be required for the Procurement of radiology equipment for oncology centers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
