The Republic of The Gambia NATIONAL WATER AND ELECTRICITY COMPANY (NAWEC) Invitation for Bids (IFB) Kotu Ring Rural Water Supply Project The Gambia LOAN NO. GAM 0053 1. The Government of The Gambia has received a loan from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) toward the cost of Kotu Ring Rural Water Supply Project, and it intends to apply proceeds of this loan to payments under the Contract for Construction of Kotu Ring Rural Water Supply Project. 2. The National Water and Electricity Company (NAWEC) now invite sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Construction of Kotu Ring Rural Water Supply Project. The delivery/construction period is Four Hundred and Eighty Days (480 days). 3. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding limited to Member Countries of the IsDB (ICB/ MC) procedures, and is open to all prospective bidders from all Member Countries of the IsDB as defined in the Bidding Documents. 4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address mentioned in paragraph 8 below from 08:00 to 16:00 hrs Banjul local time commencing 1st October 2009 5. A complete set of the Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of US$50.00 (fifty US Dollars) or D2000.00 ( Two thousand Gambian Dalasis- GMD). Electronic bidding shall not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened physically in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at 30th November 2009, at 12:15 p.m. 7. The Project comprises four lots. Bidders may submit bids for one or more lots.
