KYRGYZ REPUBLIC “THE IMPROVEMENT OF ELECTRICITY SUPPLY IN THE ARKA AREA OF BATKEN REGION” Energy sector GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE Loan No.KYR-0047 The Government of Kyrgyz Republic has received financing in the amount of US$ 16 250 000 equivalent from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of the “The Improvement of electricity supply in the Arka area of Batken region” Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. The project will include the following components: (i) 110 kV Overhead Transmission Line shall be on the basis of International Competitive Bidding limited to the Bank’s Member Countries (ICB/MC) through a single turnkey contract for 51 km. (ii) Equipment supply for 110/35/10 kV Razzakov Substation and the 110/35/6 kV Arka Substation shall be procured on the basis of ICB/MC through a single contract. (iii) Consulting services for the detailed design and supervision shall be procured on the basis of a shortlist of well reputed consultancy firm limited to Bank’s Member Countries; (iv) Financial audit services shall be procured on the basis of a shortlist of national audit firms. Procurement of contracts financed by the Islamic Development Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works Under Islamic Development Bank Financing ( May, 2009), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for the Use of Consultants Under Islamic Development Bank Financing ( May, 2009). Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the Islamic Development Bank’s international competitive bidding (ICB) or (ICB/MC) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available.
