The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank towards the cost of “SUPPORT TO SECONDARY EDUCATION SECTOR IN UZBEKISTAN” Project and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract for the construction of the secondary schools. Bidding is open to all bidders from Member Countries as defined in the Guidelines for the Procurement of Goods and Works under IDB financing. 2. Bidding documents (and additional copies) may be purchased at Project Implementation unit (PIU), address: 100159, Tashkent, Mustakillik square, 5, room-813, tel/fax.+998712391705, e-mail.UZB_020@yahoo.com, for a nonrefundable fee of 200 USD (without banking services) or its equivalent in a national currency on the rate of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the date of the payment, for each set. Interested bidders may obtain further information at the same address. 4. Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days after Bid opening and must be accompanied by security of 2,5%, and shall be delivered to Project Implementation unit (PIU), address: 100159, Tashkent, Mustakillik square, 5, room-813, tel/fax.+998712391705, e-mail.UZB_020@yahoo.com on or before 15:00 13th of January 2014, at which time they will be opened in the presence of the bidders who wish to attend. 5. Not allowed to participate in competitive bidding procedures the applicants are in the stage of reorganization (split, merge), liquidation or bankruptcy, whose property is seized. 6. All bidders shall include the following information and documents with their bids: proposals for subcontracting components of the Works amounting to more than 10 percent of the Contract Price. 7. When filling out the bill of quantities a detailed breakdown of other costs must be provided. 8. Submission of the Bid Security (Bank Guarantee) is mandatory for all bidders. Submitted Bank Guarantees should comply with the Regulation of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan #10/1 dated 24/03/2012. 9. The minimum required volume of construction works of the successful Bidders should be at least 2.5 (two million five hundred thousand) mln. USD for the last 3 (three) years. 10. Taking into account that the competitive biddings are international, the price of bids should be submitted in USD without VAT.
