The Kyrgyz Republic has applied for a Loan from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) toward the cost of 110 kV Aigultash – Samat Transmission line construction and Samat Substation and intends to apply a portion of this loan to eligible payments under the Contract for which this Invitation to Prequalification is issued. The Execution Agency for the Project is the Joint – Stock Company “National Electrical Grid of Kyrgyzstan” (NEGK). NEGK intends to prequalify contractors for the following work under this Project: The work is a 140 km. long 110 kV overhead transmission line connecting 220 kV Aigultash Substation and 110 kV Samat Substation in Batken District of Kyrgyz Republic. Application for Prequalification is open to contractors and joint – ventures of contractors from eligible member countries of the Islamic Development Bank. The bank transfer should clearly state “Payment for Prequalification Document for 110 kV Aigultash – Samat Transmission line construction”. NEGK will promptly dispatch the documents by registered airmail or courier, but under no circumstances will be held responsible for late delivery of loss of documents so mailed to the applicant. The prequalification documents must be duly completed and submission of application for prequalification must be received in sealed envelopes, which must be delivered either by hand or registered mail to the NEGK at the address above by June 16, 2008 and be clearly marked “Application for Prequalify for 110 kV Aigultash – Samat Transmission line construction”. Documents which are received late will not be considered and will be returned unopened.
