The Republic of Uzbekistan has received a loan of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) for financing of “Construction and equipment of five vocational colleges” project and intends to apply a part of this loan to the consultancy services of the given assignment for which this invitation is published. The aim of the project: The Project aims at facilitating the training of qualified specialists in vocational colleges in following areas: social, economic, industry (machinery construction and transportation). The Executing Agency (the Center for secondary specialized, vocational education) is conducting tender for selection of international consultancy services which in cooperation with corresponding technical consultants will assist to the Executing Agency in project realization. Consulting services: The consultancy services will be needed for fulfillment of preproject work, building design and structures of vocational colleges, field and technical supervision on construction, assistance in development of detailed technical specifications on equipment and furniture, tender documentations, participation in tender process for construction activity, preparation of contract projects, preparation of monthly, quarterly reports about achieved results and project realization control. Project completion report has to be prepared and submitted by the selected consultant within 3 moths from project completion date. The consultancy services for the project will be selected in accordance with a standard tender procedures of the Islamic development bank (IDB) on the basis of international tender among “short listed” consulting firms with a good reputation from IDB member states. Consulting firms have to have not less than 3 years of experience in work with International Financial Institutions and in the field of projection and field supervision of vocational colleges. For submission of financial and technical potential for consultancy services all information required in Request for proposal must be submitted in English and Russian languages. The application of the participants will be opened in August 11, 2008 at 3 p.m (Tashkent local time) at the Center for SSVE (see the above stated address) in presence of representatives of tender participants who wished to participate in this.
