The Islamic Republic of Iran has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) toward the cost of Mashhad Sewage Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract for Executive Works of Supply, Manufacturing, Installation and Commissioning of Electromechanical Equipment, Construction Works of "Khin Arab (Mashhad) Wastewater Treatment Plant". The Mashhad Water and Wastewater Company intends to prequalify contractors and/or firms for Executive Works of Supply, Manufacturing, Installation and Commissioning of Electromechanical Equipment, Construction Works of Khin Arab (Mashhad) Wastewater Treatment Plant. It is expected that invitations to bid will be made in November 2008. Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under Islamic Development Bank Financing, November 2006, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries, as defined in the guidelines. Local bidders shall have a grade 1 in installation and equipment with the adequate experience in water and waste water treatment plants according to the grade classification of Management and Planning Organization of Iran. Interested eligible applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification document at the Mashhad Water and Wastewater Company (address below) from 7:30 am to 03:30 p.m. A complete set of the prequalification document in English or Farsi may be purchased by interested applicants on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 750,000 Iranian Rials or in 50 €.
