GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN RECONSTRUCTION AND UPGRADING OF 100 KM OF M39 HIGHWAY PROJECT IN SURKHANDARYA REGION The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has applied for a financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) toward the cost of Reconstruction and Upgrading of 100 km of M39 Highway Project in Surkhandarya Region and it intends to apply the proceeds of this financing to eligible payment for civil works and consulting services to be procured under this project. The project includes the following major components: • Civil Works • Consultancy Services • Project Management The following Works and Services are expected to be procured: A. Civil Works • reconstruction and upgrading of 100 km of M39 Highway Project in Surkhandarya Region that will consist of two packages: 1. sections km 1330 – km 1395 (65 km); 2. sections km 1400 – km 1410 and km 1426 –km 1451 (35 km). B. Consultancy Services • review of existing detailed engineering design (DED) and supervision of civil works. Procurement for contracts financed by IDB will be conducted through the procedures specified in the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works Under ISLAMIC DEVELOPMENT BANK FINANCING, May 2009 and is limited to IDB Member-Countries. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the Guidelines for the Use of Consultants Under ISLAMIC DEVELOPMENT BANK FINANCING, May 2009 and is limited to IDB member country firms. C. Specific Procurement Notice (SPS) for contracts to be bid under Islamic Bank’s International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures for civil works and expression of interest for Consultancy Services contract will be announced, as they become available, on the Ministry of Finance web site, IDB Website.
