Request for Expression of Interest for Consultancy Services Tender Number: Procurement Type: Short list limited to IDB Member country firms Sector: Transport Country: Uzbekistan Issuing Date: 21-Aug-2010 Last Date for Submission: 21-Sep-2010 Project Profile REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST Republic of Uzbekistan Project for Reconstruction and Upgrading of 100 km of M39 Highway in Surkhandarya Region CONSULTING SERVICES Project ID No: UZB______ The Republican Road Fund under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan has requested an Istisna’a financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) toward the cost of Reconstruction and Upgrading of 100 km of M39 Highway in Surkhandarya Region and intends to apply a portion of this financing to eligible payments under the Contract for this assignment. Consultancy Services include: (i) Design stage: the review of existing detailed engineering design (DED). Note that DED has been already completed under the Government financing. (ii) Supervision stage: (a) supervise activities during civil works considered in the Project; (b) supervise the contractors work and certify the constructor’s work in accordance with contract conditions. The assignment is expected to start in the second quarter of 2011 and last for 24 months. The Republican Road Fund under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan now invites eligible consultants from IDB member countries to express their interest in providing above mentioned services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform these services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, general qualifications and number of key staff and so forth). Consultants may associate to enhance their capacities. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures indicated in the Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing, May 2009.
