Specific Procurement Notice (SPN) - Research Facilities Expansion Project, Faculty of Engineering, University of Tehran, Iran
1. Following the General Procurement Notice (GPN) of 17th July, 2007, and 18th July, 2007, FEUT now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for supply, delivery, install, training, test and commissioning, including warranty and guarantee of research equipments to be procured under IDB financing toward the cost of enhancement the research facilities and scientific capability of FEUT. 2. The bids are divided into 81 packages comprising Microscopy, Robotic Technology, Laser Optic, Chemical Analysis, Polymer Sciences, Rock and Soil Mechanics, Mineral Processing, Powder metallurgy, Surveying, Geophysics, Mechanical Engineering, Hot & Cold Deformation, Environmental Sciences, Earthquake Engineering, General Lab., Acoustic, Petroleum Engineering and Fluid Dynamic equipments which will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures, specified in the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under IDB Financing, dated June 2005. Each package is detailed in the bidding documents. Interested bidders can participate either in one package, a group of packages or all packages. In the event that there is no successful complete bid for a given package, FEUT reserves the right to split the package and to award contracts to the bidders on item-by-item basis. 3. Interested bidders may obtain complete set of electronic files of bidding documents in English either from the below address on a CD, during official working hours from 9 a.m. till 2 p.m. local time, or from the University of Tehran web site meanwhile a pre-bid meeting will be held on Monday, 11th.Jan.2010 from 10 a.m. till 12 a.m. for any questions and/or clarification. 4. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 10 a.m. Monday, 8th.Feb.2010 for packages 1 to 28, Tuesday, 9th.Feb.2010 for packages 29- 52 and Wednesday, 10th.Feb.2010 for packages 53 to 81. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security, as specified in the bidding documents. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the below address at 10 a.m. Monday, 8th.Feb.2010 for packages 1 to28, Tuesday, 9th.Feb.2010 for packages 29 to 52 and Wednesday, 10th.Feb.2010 for packages 53 to 81. Thus the interested bidders are requested to submit their offers for each package in a separate sealed envelop. 5.
