Rehabilitation Works on the Secondary and Tertiary Irrigation Infrastrutures for IRRIGATION, Drainage and Service Roads
The Government of Mozambique has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank towards the cost of Rehabilitation of Secondary and Tertiary Canals in the Rio Hydraulic Sector of the Chókwè Irrigated Perimeter and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract for Rehabilitation works on the secondary and tertiary irrigation infrastructures for irrigation, drainage and service roads, in about 7.000 ha (Phase I) in Chókwè irrigation scheme.Bidding is open to all bidders from Member Countries as defined in the Guidelines for the Procurement of Goods and Works under IDB financing. For the propose of these Guidelines, a Member Country contractor or supplier is defined as follows: a) - It is registered or otherwise organized in a Member Country of IDB; b) - Its principal place of business is located in a Member Country of IDB; c) - It is more than 50% beneficially owned by a firm or firms in one or more Member Countries (which firm or firms must also qualify as to nationality) and/or citizens of such Member Countries; d) – not less than 80% of all persons who will perform services under the contract, whether employed directly or by subcontractor, are nationals of IDB Member Country or of other Member Countries; and e) – The majority of managerial and professional staff is nationals of the Beneficiary Member Country.
