1. Under its technical assistance program for The Gambia, the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group Investment Promotion Technical Assistance Program (ITAP) aim to help the Gambia Export and Investment Promotion Agency (GIEPA) outline a program for attracting foreign direct investments into the country and strengthen GIEPA’s investment promotion capabilities which would be achieved by conducting a full-fledged investment promotion program for specific sectors with clearly defined project profiles. 2. Scope of Consultancy Services: The consultant will be required to identify 2 sectors in light of their potential to attract foreign investors. The scope of this assignment includes: a) Conduct competitive and comparative analysis of the 2 sectors – identifying at least 2 sub-sector each - on the basis of competitiveness and beneficial impact; b) Identify administrative or infrastructural barriers for investing in these sub-sectors; and c) Preparation of 20-30 project profiles in the identified sector and sub-sectors for promoting the Gambia to foreign investors. 3. Eligibility Requirements: A key requirement for qualification, in addition to possessing the appropriate academic and professional credentials, is to have successfully carried out similar type of Consultancy services assignments in the past 5 years. 4.
