Invitation for Pre-qualification Islamic Republic of Iran Western Tehran Sanitation Project Wastewater Transmission Main Istisna’a IRN 00102 This invitation for prequalification follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in following newspapers: Tehran Times (No. 11471 & 11472) of8 & 9 Jul 2012 Iran Daily (No. 4274 & 4275) of8 & 9 Jul 2012 Iran (No. 5120 & 5121) of8 & 9 Jul 2012 and Hamshahri (No. 5729) of 8 Jul 2012on-line. The Government of Islamic Republic of Iran has received an Istisna’a financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) toward the cost of the Western Tehran Sanitation Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract for the Western Tehran Wastewater Transmission Main. The Tehran Sewerage Company intends to prequalify contractors and/or firms for the Wastewater Transmission Main (12 km length and 3000 mm diameter in HDPE covered concrete pipe to be carried out essentially by mechanical method; the full flow in the transmission main is estimated to be around 17.22 m3/s in the design horizon of 2031). Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works, May 2009 and is limited to bidders from member countries (ICB/MC), as defined in the guidelines.
