The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan 35 million US Dollars (under General Loan # BGD 153 and Istisna’a # BGD 154) from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) toward the cost of Enhancing Quality Seed Supply Project (EQSSP), The Project Management Unit (PMU) acting on behalf of Ministry of Agriculture, Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC), Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI) & Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI). Contract Package : Construction of 4 Nos Seed Potato Cold Storage each 2000 MT Capacity including supply & Installation and commissioning of all Electrical & Mechanical Machineries/Equipment at 4 different places in Bangladesh on Turn-key basis. It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in December 2013. Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under the Islamic Development Bank Financing May, 2009 and is open to all bidders from IsDB member countries (ICB/MC), as defined in the guidelines. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and the prequalification document at Project Director, EQSSP, PMU, BADC, Sech Bhaban, 22 Manik Mia Avenue, Dhaka from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (local time) during office day. Interested bidders may obtain a complete set of the prequalification document in English upon submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of BDT 10,000.00 (ten thousand) or US$ 128. The method of payment will be Demand Draft or Pay Order in favour of “Project Director, EQSSP MISC RECEIPT”. The prequalification document can be either: (a) picked up by the Bidder or its representative from the Employer’s office, or (b) sent by the Employer to the Bidder by mail, and for this purpose, the Bidder is to pay the cost of the prequalification document by wire transfer to Account.
