GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE Islamic Republic of Iran Esfahan Power Transmission Project Power Sector Project ID No: IRN-106 Esfahan Regional Electric Company (EREC), a subsidiary of Tavanir, is an Iranian public sector company which is wholly owned by the Ministry of Energy of the Islamic Republic of Iran. EREC has recently received a financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) towards the cost of “Esfahan Power Transmission Project”, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for the Procurement, Construction, Test and Commissioning of Five High Voltage substations in the provinces of Esfahan and Chahar Mahal va Bakhtiari. The project includes the following components to be constructed under separate turnkey EPC Contracts using ICB-Open procedures: • Harand(Kouhpaye) 400/63 kV Substation [EPC contract] • Faradonbeh 400/63 kV Substation [EPC contract] • Hosnijeh 400/63 kV Substation [EPC contract] • Semirom 230/63 kV Substation [EPC contract] • Lenjan 230/63 kV Substation [EPC contract] Additionally, the financial audit services will be procured from a short list of reputed local firms in conformity with IDB procedures. Procurement of contracts financed by the Islamic Development Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works Under Islamic Development Bank Financing (May 2009), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the Islamic Development Bank’s procurement procedures will be announced, as they become available. Prequalification of suppliers and contractors will be required for the before-mentioned tenders.
