Name of the Project: development of Faculty of Engineering at the University of Aden Project Code: 2YAR0097 The Government of the Republic of Yemen has received a Loan from the Islamic Development Bank to finance the project for development of Faculty of Engineering at the University of Aden. The University of Aden here announces its desire to invite bidders to Tender No. (AU/IDB2) of The project (package one) which includes the following components: a) Part one: Furnishing of the faculty buildings. b) Part two: Supply, installation, commissioning and training of laboratory equipment. • This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared on the website of the Islamic Development Bank (www.isdb.org), Issuing Date: 27-Nov-2012. • Procurement of Goods and Works will be in accordance with the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under the Islamic Development Bank Financing (May 2009). • Bidders who are willing to participate in this Tender (in any part or both parts) and belong to any one of the IDB member countries (ICB/MC) have to submit written applications to: - University of Aden- rector Assistant for Projects affairs office – tel. No. 236457 , to receive Bidding Documents against an amount of 100 USD for part one and 200 USD for part two as a non-refundable fee. • The deadline for the Handing of Tender Document is 24/04/2013. • Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes addressed to the following: - University of Aden - Tender No.: AU/IDB2 - Name of the Project: development of Faculty of Engineering - Project Code: 2YAR0097 - Bidder Name: ---- • Bids must be submitted with the following documents: • A Bank Guarantee for a lump-sum amount of : a) For part one: forty thousand dollars ($ 40,000). b) For part two: Two hundred and sixty thousand dollars ($ 260,000). of the total bid value valid for not less than 180 days from date of Bid Opening. • A copy of valid registration and classification certificates. • A copy of valid sales tax certificate + tax card. • A copy of insurance card + Zakat Card. • A Copy of practicing license. Foreign companies are excluded from providing certificates, licenses and cards referred to above, and shall be required only to provide legal documents of eligibility issued by country of origin of these companies. • The deadline for receipt of tenders and opening of envelopes is at (11:00AM ) on (Tuesday) corresponding to (30/04/2013) at the meeting hall - University of Aden, in the presence of tenderers or their duly authorized representatives. Tenders received after this deadline shall not be accepted and shall be returned unopened to the sender. Interested tenderers can obtain information about Tender Document before payment during office hours for the period of validity allowed for the Handing of Tender Document For (40) days from the date of publication of the first announcement.
