Loan No./ Financing No. : BD 0169 This Invitation for prequalification follows the General procurement notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in 04 (four) Bangladeshi Newspaper namely “The daily Star ” dated April 14, 2013, "The daily Independent ” dated April 14, 2013, "The daily Jugantor ” dated April 16, 2013 and The daily Ittefaq ” dated April 21, 2013 , Issue No. 716- BPDB(Sectt)/Dev-155/2001 Dated :10.04.2013 and on the website of the Islamic Development Bank (www.isdb.org),BPDB website (http://bpdb.gov.bd). GPN was also published in the International Newspaper "The Economist" dated May 11, 2013, Page 95. The Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) has received a finance from the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) toward the cost of the Sylhet Power Efficiency Enhancement Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments for Design, Delivery, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of the plant leading to the Conversion of Sylhet 150 MW Gas Turbine Power Plant to 225 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant. Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works, May 2009 and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries, as defined in the guidelines. Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification document at the Bangladesh Power Development Board (address below) from 9:00 hours to 17:00 hours BST during working days.
