INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION FOR SUPPLY OF EQUIPMENT AND INSTALATION OF 3 SUBSTATIONS (2 IN BISHKEK AND 1 IN OSH CITIES) IDB Financing No.: KYR-0033 This invitation for prequalification follows the general procurement notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in local newspaper of 12 March 2013 as well on IDB website dated 6 March 2013 . The Government of Kyrgyz Republic has received a loan from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of Improvement of electricity supply project in the cities of Bishkek and Osh Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract for supply of equipment and installation of 3 substations (2 in Bishkek and 1 in Osh cities). The JSC ”National Electrical Grid of Kyrgyzstan” an executing agency of the project now intends to prequalify contractors and/or firms for the above mentioned contract. It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in April 2013. Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works, May 2009 and is open to all bidders from any countries. Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification document at the office of the Project Management Unit (PMU) stated below from 9:00 am till 17:00 pm (Bishkek time).
