Invitation for Pre-qualification (IFP) Islamic Republic of Iran Azarbaijan Power Transmission Project Supply and Delivery of Towers, Conductor, Shield wire, Insulators & Accessories for 160 km long, single-circuit, 3-bundle, 400 kV Overhead Transmission Line IRN-105-B This invitation for prequalification follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in the website of the Islamic Development Bank (www.isdb.org), UNDB website (http://www.devbusiness.com) under Ref No IsDB22-12/12 on 3rd of December 2012, AREC official website: http://www.azrec.co.ir, National database portal of Iran Tender's Information website http://iets.mporg.ir/ and Newspapers “IRAN DAILY” and “TEHRAN TIMES”. The Azarbaijan Regional Electric Company (AREC) has received a Financing from the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) toward the cost of the Azarbaijan Power Transmission Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments for supply and delivery of Towers, Conductor, Shield wires including Optical Fiber Ground Wire(OPGW) & Core Of Curlew Conductor, Insulators & Accessories for a 160 km long, single-circuit, 3-bundle, 400 kV Overhead Transmission Line between Orumieh and Sahand Power Plants which are located in West and East Azarbaijan provinces. (AREC) intends to prequalify contractors for Supply and Delivery of above mentioned equipment. It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in June 2013. Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works, May 2009 and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries, as defined in the guidelines. Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification document at the Azarbaijan Regional Electric Company (AREC) (address below) from 9:00 a.m to 14:00 p.m of local time. A complete set of the prequalification document in English may be purchased by interested Applicants (a) on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 1,500,000 Iranian Rials.
