RQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (CONSULTANT SERVICES) BANGLADESH Rural Electrification Expansion Barisal Division Program-1 Ministry of Power Energy & Mineral Resources/Power Division CONSULTING SERVICES Mode of Financing: Installment Sale Financing No: BGD-170 The Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of the Rural Electrification Expansion Barisal Division Program-1 and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the procurement of consultant services under Islamic Development Bank’s international competitive bidding – member countries (ICB/MC) procedures. The services include project management & supervision for the construction and renovation of 1,900 km distribution lines with 6 nos. of 33/11 KV new substation. Please refer to the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in  Arab News, Jeddah, Saudi Arab  dated 05-08-2014. The BREB now invites eligible independent consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide specific information which demonstrate that they are fully qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, and experience in similar conditions. Availability of appropriate skills among staff etc.). Experience in the following area or tasks shall be the minimum requirement for the assignment. • Experience in contracting and procurement process (including the review of tender evaluation). • Coordinating and supervising project implementation to ensure quality of work in full compliance with the contracts. • Monitor results and provide periodic progress reports. Bidding is open to eligible reputed firms from the IDB Member Countries only. Consultants may express interests in the forms of association, validated by an agreement among members of the association which clearly specifies the type of association, i.e. a joint-venture, intermediate forms of association, or sub consultancy. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedure set out in the Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development, Bank Financing (current edition).
