IDB is seeking to hire the services of individual consultant (s) to update and develop Operations Policies and Business Processes as part of preparing its new Operations Policy Manual. This is a long-term consultancy assignment (initially six months to be extended based on the performance of the consultant) reporting to the Manager, Operations Policy and Compliance Division. The consultant may be stationed at the IDB Head Quarters in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, or at one of its four Regional Offices in Malaysia, Morocco, Kazakhstan or Senegal. The main assignment is to undertake and coordinate the following activities: i) Review, assess, classify and benchmark the IDB’s existing Operations Policies and Business Processes: ii) Benchmark the IDB Policies with other MDBs and guiding principles of the Bank’s policy development framework; iii) Undertake the consultations with internal stakeholders; iv) Prepare the draft Operations Policies and Business Process documents; v) Prepare operations policy knowledge products; The consultant is expected to deliver the following: i) Provide the draft Operations Policies and Business Processes documents upon completion of all tasks above and any other that may be specified as required; ii) Provide draft of documents on new knowledge products on operations policies and processes (such as papers for harmonization and benchmarking); Qualification of the Consultant: The consultant should be a senior development professional with qualifications and experience of minimum of 10 years working in international organizations similar to the IDB and preferably have work experience with AfDB, ADB, WB etc. Specific experience in focusing on the review, analysis, and development of operations policies and business processes is essential, preferably with an accumulated experience of 3 years. The consultant should be familiar with the roles, functions, and operations of an MDB and hands on experience in preparing, appraising, managing and supervising development projects will be an added advantage. The consultant should have excellent verbal and written English language skills.
