Fars Six Cities Sanitation Improvement Project The Fars Water and Wastewater Company (FWWC) has received financing in the amount of Euro 143.77 million from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) toward the cost of the Fars Six Cities Sanitation Improvement Project and intends to use part of the proceeds of this Istisna’a financing for payment under the contract for project management consultancy services. The project will include the following components: a) Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs): covers the construction of (6) WWTPs in (i) Abadeh, (ii) Darab, (iii) Fassa, (iv) Firoozabad, (v) Neyriz, and (vi) Sepidan. With 64400 ( m3/day) cumulative capacity b) Collection and Transmission Network: this component will support the construction of sewerage networks and transmission lines for primary and secondary collection and onward transmission to the WWTPs. Total cumulative length of the network has been estimated at 550 km. The Project Management Consultancy Services include: 1. Project coordination with FWWC, Contractors, Consultants and other stakeholders; 2. Project programming and progress controlling; 3. Project management of the implementation phase; 4. Project management of all procurement needs and other services if and when required The FWWC now invites eligible local consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, general qualifications and number of key staff and so forth). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing , May 2009.
