REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (CONSULTANT SERVICES) Country: The Republic of The Gambia Project Title: Bilingual Education Support Project (BESP) Sector: Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE) Consultancy Services: Recruitment of a Design Review and works supervision Consultant Project ID: GM 0079 Expressions of interest The Government of The Gambia has received financing amounting to USD 11.1 million from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) towards the cost of the BESP project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services. The services include the detail design review and preparation of bidding documents, assisting in the bid evaluation and supervision of the nationwide new classroom and toilet blocks construction as well as the provision of school water points. The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education now invite eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (description of similar assignments, experience in similar contracts, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the IDB’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by IDB Borrowers (current edition).
