Rural Electrification Expansion Project Barisal Division POWER SECTOR GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE Mode of Financing: Installment Sale Financing No.: BGD-170 The Rural Electrification Board (REB) has applied for financing from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of the Rural Electrification Expansion Barisal Division Program-1, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. The project will include the following components: 1. Supply and delivery of material and equipment and to construct approximately 1,900 km long (33 kV, 11 kV) distribution lines and six new 33/11 kV (3 x 5MVA and 3 x 10MVA) Substations 2. Consultancy services for project management Component 1 will be procured in seven packages under the Islamic Development Bank’s international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures. Component 2 will be procured under Islamic Development Bank’s international competitive bidding – member countries (ICB/MC) procedures. Procurement of contracts financed by the Islamic Development Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods & Works and Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing (current editions), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Specific Procurement Notices for contracts to be bid under International Competitive Bidding (ICB) and international competitive bidding – member countries (ICB/MC) procedures will be announced, as they become available.
