INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) ENHANCING VALUE ADDITION IN THE GROUNDNUT SECTOR PROJECT PROCUREMENT OF CONVEYOR SYSTEMS FOR THE GAMBIA GROUNDNUT CORPORATION (GGC) 1. The Government of the Republic of The Gambia has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) towards the cost of the Enhancing Value Addition in the Groundnut Sector Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under contracts for the procurement of goods and equipment. 2. The Gambian Agency for the Management of Public Works (GAMWORKS), acting on behalf of the Gambia Groundnut Corporation (GGC), now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the following contract: Lot No. Description of the Goods Bid Security Amount Contract Identification No. Lot 6 Supply, Delivery, Assembly, Installation, Testing, Certification and Commissioning of conveyor Systems for the Groundnut Facility US$37,000 ICB-MC/ GGC/GOODS/001/14 3. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding limited to IDB Member Countries (ICB/MC) procedures specified in the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under IDB Financing, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines. 4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and can inspect the Bidding Documents at the address noted below, from 8am to 6pm (GMT), Monday to Thursday. 5. Qualifications requirements are as noted in the Bidding Documents. 6. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non- refundable fee of GMD 6,000 (Six Thousand Gambian Dalasis) or US$150 (One Hundred and Fifty United States Dollars) or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency. Documents will be sent by email or courier for local delivery. The method of payment will be Cash or Bank Draft in the name of GAMWORKS payable in The Gambia or Bank Transfer. 7. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 12.00 noon on Tuesday 13th January 2015. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at 12.00 noon on Tuesday 13th January 2015. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of the amount noted in the table above or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency, in the format noted in the bidding document. 8. The bidders are advised to familiarize themselves with the local conditions and take them into account in preparing their bids, including attending a pre-bid conference and site visits schedule for 2nd- 3rd December, 2014. Attendance at the pre-bid conference and site visit is optional. Bidders intending to join the Purchaser’s pre-arranged transport for the site visits shall confirm to the Purchaser by 25th November, 2014. 9.
