SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION Kyrgyz Republic Reconstruction of Taraz – Talas – Suusamyr Road (Phase-III), km 75-105 Sector: Infrastructure Procurement of Works Loan No.: KYR-0046 This invitation for prequalification follows the general procurement notice for this project, which was published in “Asharq Alawsat” (London, UK) newspaper on March 13, 2013. The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic has received a financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) toward the cost of the Taraz – Talas – Suusamyr Road Reconstruction Project, Phase-III, km 75-105, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract for reconstruction of 30 km of an existing single carriageway road. This contract will be jointly financed by IDB and SFD. The Ministry of Transport & Communication of the Kyrgyz Republic intends to prequalify contractors and/or firms for reconstruction of 30 km of an existing single carriageway road, which will include widening up to 7 meters of carriageway and 2 shoulders of 2.5 meters each, improvement of pavement structure, reconstruction of road drainage and reconstruction of 6 bridges. Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the IDB’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works, May 2009, and is open to all bidders from IDB member countries, as defined in the guidelines.
