KYRGYZ REPUBLIC SARYMSAK IRRIGATION SCHEME DEVELOPMENT PROJECT AGRICULTURE/WATER RESOURCES CONSULTING SERVICES Mode of Financing: Loan Project ID No.: KYR-0053/54 The Kyrgyz Republic has applied for financing in the amount of US$ 13.25 million from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) toward the cost of the Sarymsak Irrigation Scheme Development Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for consultancy services to be procured under this project. The service includes design review, preparation of bidding document, and supervision of construction works. Please refer to the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared on IDB web-site at www.isdb.org. Department for Water Resources and Melioration of Ministry of Agriculture and Melioration of the Kyrgyz Republic now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide specific information, which demonstrate that they are fully qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Experience in the following area will be highly preferable: • Development of detailed design for open irrigation canals and affiliated hydraulic structures; • Procurement of civil works contracts based on guidelines and procedures of Multilateral Development Bank (preferably IDB, World Bank, ADB and/or EBRD); • Supervision of construction works based on FIDIC or similar standards and procedures; Interested participants should submit information in English language. In addition to that, it is recommended to provide information translated into Russian language (but not mandatory). Consultants may express interests in the forms of association, validated by an agreement among members of the association which clearly specifies the type of association, i.e. a joint-venture, intermediate forms of association, or sub consultancy. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing (May, 2009).
