REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (CONSULTANCY SERVICES) Islamic Republic Of Iran Rural Areas Wastewater Project Training and capacity building for National Water &Wastewater Sector Mode of Financing: Istisna’a Financing No. IRN 0084 The Islamic Republic of Iran has received financing in the amount of Euro 129.65 million from Islamic Development Bank towards the cost of the Rural Areas Wastewater Project, Islamic Republic of Iran, and intends to apply part of the proceeds to payment for training and capacity building to be procured under this project. The capacity building program comprises the following types of activities: Training courses with international and local instructors at appropriate training institutes in the sector in Iran. Workshops in Iran on different topics related to the sector using international instructors; Study tours outside Iran to allow Iranian decisions makers and sector professionals to acquaint themselves with best practice in areas of planning, implementation, technologies, operations in the water supply and wastewater sector; Translate and print four books in the field of water and wastewater. Prepare/translate two standard criteria reports in the field of water and wastewater. The National Water and Wastewater Engineering Company (NWWEC) now invites eligible consultants and training institutes from Islamic Development Bank’s member countries to indicate their interest in providing the required consulting services. Interested consultants and training institutes must provide specific information with supporting documents, wherever possible, (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.) which demonstrate the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services. Consultants may express interest in the form of association, validated by an agreement among members of the association which clearly specifies the type of association, i.e. a joint-venture, intermediate forms of association, or sub consultancy. The consultants will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the “Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing, May 2009”. Interested consultants and training institutes may submit their expression of interest (EOI) to the following address during office hours from 0900- 14.00 hours (local time).
