REPÚBLICA DE MOÇAMBIQUE MINISTÉRIO DA SAÚDE UNIDADE GESTORA EXECUTORA DAS AQUISIÇÕES GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE MOZ-37: PROJECT FOR SUPPORT TO HEALTH SYSTEM STRENGTHENING IN INHAMBANE PROVINCE IN MOZAMBIQUE Mode of Financing: LOAN AGREEMENT No. 2013012/L 1. The Government of Mozambique has received financing from the the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in the amount equivalent of USD 10.000.000,00 toward the cost of The Project for Support to Health System Strengthening in Inhambane Province in Mozambique and intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. 2. The project will include the following components: (i) civil and electro-mechanical works for establishment of Jangamo District Hospital, upgrading the National Health Training Institute and hospital health care waste management system; (ii) Consultancy services for design, project management and supervision; (iii) Provision of medical & non-medical equipment, laboratory, training equipment, tools and modules and furniture; (iv) Support to enhancing the Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT); (v) Building capacity of health and related staff through training; (vi) Support to the management information system (HHMIS) in Jangamo district hospital; (vii) Support to Project management including consultancy services for project management and supervision and the project start-up workshop. 3. Procurement of contracts financed by the Islamic Development Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under Islamic Development Bank Financing (current edition), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing (current edition). 4. Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the Islamic Development Bank’s national competitive bidding (NCB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be aced, as they become available, in IsDB Website, MISAU Website, and/or in local newspapers. 5.
