SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE Invitation for Pre-qualification Islamic Republic of Iran FARS Six Cities Sanitation Improvement Project Invitation for Prequalification of Contractors for Design, Build & Operate of Wastewater Treatment Plants IsDB Financing No. IRN-0107 The Government of Islamic Republic of Iran has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) towards the cost of the Fars Six Cities Sanitation Improvement Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contracts for Design, Build & Operate of Wastewater Treatment Plants (under DBO method ). The Fars Water and Wastewater Company (FWWC) intends to prequalify contractors for Design, Build & Operate of Wastewater Treatment Plants as described in the following table. It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in May 2016. Description of Package: 1. Abadeh: Design, Build & Operate of Wastewater Treatment Plant of Abadeh with capacity 10,000 M3/day 2. Darab: Design, Build & Operate of Wastewater Treatment Plant of Darab with capacity 10,000 M3/day 3. Fasa&Sepidan: Lot1: Fasa Design, Build & Operate of Wastewater Treatment Plant with capacity 20,000 M3/day Lot2: Sepidan Design, Build & Operate of Wastewater Treatment Plant with capacity 4,400 M3/day 4. Firoozabad& Neyriz Lot1: Firoozabad Design, Build & Operate of Wastewater Treatment Plant with capacity 11,000 M3/day Lot2: Neyriz Design, Build & Operate of Wastewater Treatment Plant with capacity 9,000 M3/day Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the Islamic Development Bank’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works, May 2009 using of National Competitive Bidding (NCB) and is open to all bidders from eligible local firms, as defined in the guidelines. The association of domestic firms with a non-domestic firm is accepted whereby the domestic firm is expected to perform at least 50% of the required assignments. Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification document at the Fars Water & Wastewater Company (address below) from Dec. 28 , 2015 08:00 a.m. to 15:00 p.m. A complete set of the prequalification document in English may be purchased by interested Applicants (a) on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 2,000,000 Iranian Rials for each package. The method of payment will be direct deposit to Account No. 1528936404, Bank Mellat, Moallem Square Branch (code 240008037112), in the name of Fars Water and Wastewater Company. Applicants can get the prequalification documents from Fars Water and Wastewater Company upon receipt of the cash deposit as indicated above. Applications for prequalification should be submitted in sealed envelopes, delivered to the address below by Feb. 21, 2016, at 10.00 a.m. and be clearly marked “Application to Prequalify for Prequalification of Contractors for Design, Build & Operate of Wastewater Treatment Plants. Essentially, the Local bidders should have eligible grades 2 in water & civil categories in association with qualified Consultant and Supplier or holder of EPC ranking, according to the grade classification of MPO.
