REHABILITATION OF IRRIGATION AND DRAINAGE PROJECT AGRICULTURE/WATER RESOURCES CONSULTING SERVICES Mode of Financing: Service Ijara and Istisna’a Project ID No. KHZ0082-0083 Republican state enterprise on the right of economic management “Kazvodkhoz” of the Committee of Water Resources under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan has applied for financing in the amount of US$ 143 million equivalent from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of the Rehabilitation of Irrigation and Drainage project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services. The services include design review, preparation of bidding document, and supervision of construction works. Interested consultants must provide specific information, which will approve their qualification and conformity for performing the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Experience or performing the tasks in the following area shall be the minimum requirement for the assignment: • Development of detailed engineering design for drainage system (rehabilitation of vertical drainage system, deep wells and discharge channels;), and irrigation system (construction of primary, secondary and tertiary canals and pipelines); • Tender documentation for procurement of Civil Works and equipments based on guidelines and procedures of International Financial Institutions and International Development Banks (preferably IDB, World Bank, ADB and/or EBRD); • Supervision of construction works based on FIDIC or similar standards and procedures; Consultants may submit their proposals in the forms of association, validated by an agreement among members of the association, which clearly specifies the type of association, i.e. a joint-venture, intermediate forms of association, or sub consultancy. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing among member country firms (current edition).
